GTC exhibit at Harrogate Week 2008

18 December 2007

From the 22 -24 January, the GTC will be attending the BTME exhibition at the Harrogate International Centre along with 200 other exhibitors.

Come to stand Q59 where GTC staff and representatives from organisations within the GTC will be on hand to offer independent advice. You will also be able to purchase the training manual as well as other learning materials which are used by the GTC’s Approved Training Providers.

The GTC is again sponsoring BIGGA’s Continue to Learn programme at the exhibition. BIGGA is offering students/learners free entry to the seminar on proof of student identity - this could be a BIGGA student membership card, student union card or a letter from the provider confirming they are registered at a GTC Approved Centre.

The R&A, in association with other golfing bodies, is hosting a conference at the exhibition on THURSDAY 24th JANUARY. For more information see the attached programme: The R&A Harrogate 2008 conference.pdf

Bookings for the Continue to Learn programme and the R&A conference can be made through the website www.harrogateweek.org.uk

Jon Allbutt, the GTC's Health & Safety advisor, will be visiting the GTC stand (Q59) between 22nd - 24th January, to discuss the new Health and Safety Guidelines and legislation relating to Health & Safety, the latest developments on the proposed new EU Regulations for Pesticides and any other matters you may have relating to Health & Safety. If you are unable to attend Harrogate Week you can still contact Jon to discuss any Health & Safety issues on 07712 196406 or e-mail him on jon@jonallbutt.co.uk

Frank Newberry, a leading trainer within the sports turf sector, will once again be at Harrogate Week. Frank is keen to show his support for the work of the GTC and BIGGA by focusing on the challenges of ‘learning transfer’ i.e. the impact of training and education on actual performance at work. If you are attending the exhibition you can call Frank on 07939 200056 to make an appointment to meet him that suits your Harrogate schedule. If you are not attending Harrogate Week you can still e-mail your ‘learning transfer’ experiences to Frank at info@franknewberry.com
