GTC gets new look website

10 December 2007

The GTC is now the proud owner of a new, innovative website which showcases everything you need to know about the field of greenkeeper training.

The fresh site is a catalogue of useful greenkeeping information with its innovative navigation system providing users access to up-to-date features, from advice on careers in the sector, a guide to qualifications within the greenkeeping profession and information regarding affiliated organisations that offer GTC training courses.

The GTC in association with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has updated the ‘Health & Safety in Golf Course Management’ booklet and is now available to download from the new site. It enables employers and employees to access all the latest health and safety information, which also includes the GTC’s recently updated wallchart, the BIGGA Machinery and Work Equipment Training Manual and the BIGGA/GCMA Safety Management System (SMS).

David Golding, the GTC’s Education Director, said: “The GTC is moving with the times with the arrival of its innovative, up-to-date website. Now, employers, greenkeepers and trainers can access everything associated with greenkeeping, such as training manuals, environmental issues and advice on careers in the field, from one source at the click of a button.”

To download the new health and safety guidelines or to view the GTC’s latest news log onto www.the-gtc.co.uk.
