Chemicals Regulations Directorate (CRD)

Jon Allbutt the GTC's Health and Safety Advisor and Quality Assured Training Provider, alerts the sector to a survey by the Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) on pesticide use in the Amenity Sector.

Jon adds "The previous survey of amenity pesticides usage did not produce a balanced view due to the disappointing response by 'turf professionals'. We know that the new legislation will impose a more integrated approach to pest management with more restrictions to come. So we must ensure that our use of pesticides is 'on the record' and recognised by Ministers as, without them, our ability to produce world class fine sports turf could be severely restricted in the future"
