Nick Poppleton Added to Great Britain and Ireland Squad for St Andrews Trophy

Nick Poppleton has been invited to join the Great Britain and Ireland squad for the St Andrews Trophy match against the Continent of Europe at Linna Golf in Finland this July.

The 24-year-old has been added to the squad following his win in the Brabazon Trophy at Frilford Heath last week.

Craig Watson, Great Britain and Ireland captain, said, “Nick played exceptional golf to win the Brabazon Trophy last week and his selection for the Great Britain and Ireland squad is a reflection of his overall form.

“Nick’s inclusion shows there is still time for players to play their way into contention for the match and we are following the key amateur events closely. We are very much looking forward to what will be a challenging match against the Continent of Europe in Finland next month.”
